A licensed New York attorney, Joseph Colista moved to Brooklyn in 2003 and fell in love with the borough’s diverse neighborhoods, beautiful parks and amazing food and culture. Spending his free time exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan, Joseph quickly developed a fascination with New York real estate. By 2005 he was actively seeking a family investment opportunity. He found one and eventually oversaw the renovation of an income producing building located in Williamsburg, which he has managed since 2006. As a result, Joseph has gained expertise in maximizing the investment potential of Brooklyn real estate even during a difficult economic environment. As a resident and avid real estate watcher, Joseph has also gained an intimate knowledge of the borough’s many neighborhoods, business districts and developments.
Joseph’s training as a lawyer has instilled in him both an obsessive attention to detail and a strong desire to zealously and ethically advocate on behalf of real estate buyers whose needs he feels are often overlooked. His professional objective is to ensure that his buyer clients avoid the numerous pitfalls attending real estate purchases in New York and end up with the perfect home or investment property. Working with Elika allows Joseph to combine his passion for New York City real estate with a desire to work as an advocate, while providing the best possible buyer representation to clients seeking to purchase property in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
